Dr Affleck is a graduate of the UC Berkeley, and the Medical College of Va. While completing a Family Practice Residency in Colorado, he became affiliated with the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and supervised drug testing crews around the nation for the USOC and NCAA for over a decade. His favorite tour of duty was working the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. During his Sports Medicine Fellowship with a Univ of Washington affiliated clinic, he worked with high school, college, and professional athletes including the Seattle Mariners, the Rainer Cup hydroplane racers, and the PRCA rodeo cowboys.
Currently, Dr Affleck serves as Team Physician for the Santa Rosa Junior College, clinical Concussion Advisor for SR City Schools District, and Medical Director for several high-profile athletic events including the Ironman Vineman Triathlon and Levi’s GranFondo, as well as community events like the Windsor Green Half Marathon, the Human Race, and Girls on the Run.
Dr Affleck is board certified in Family Practice and fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. He is the founder and board president of North Coast Concussion Management, a non-profit community benefit organization bringing concussion care expertise and education to Sonoma County student athletes, coaches, and families. At SRSM, Dr Affleck specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of athletic injuries with special focus on biomechanics, non-operative orthopedics, and concussion care.

At SRSM, she serves as our liaison to the local community. She volunteers as a youth sports coach and is proudest of the co-ed volleyball team that brought boys volleyball to Sonoma County. In addition, she and her two children have raised puppies for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) and currently they have their second CCI male breeder Duran who may greet you at the SRSM clinic door!
An east coast native, Kristin moved to Sonoma County in 2019 with her family and promptly had to evacuate due to the Kincade Fire! (Welcome to the new Sonoma County life). Kristin has a master’s degree in business and after working in the corporate world for over twenty years she took time off to raise her two kids who are now teenagers

Kristin met her husband, David, while training for her eighteenth marathon – which they ran together on their honeymoon in Stockholm, Sweden. Along with running, Kristin enjoys traveling, hiking, snowshoeing, riding on her Peloton bike, and wrangling her family’s five cats.

Though she is finding her transition to Santa Rosa to be exciting and adventurous, she will never forget her east coast football team, the Steelers. Beyond her professional life, Cristi finds joy in baking, retail therapy, getting lost in books, and enjoying timeless classics on movie nights.
